Mrs. Mary Rieder of Medicine Hat, beloved wife of the late Mr. Leo Rieder, passed away on Wednesday, November 19th, 2014 at the age of 65 years. Mary leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Wanda Rieder of Medicine Hat; two grandchildren, Russell Floyd and Alisha; one brother, David Schorr; two sisters, Alma (Ray) Becker and Leah MacDonald; one sister-in-law, Maggie Bechal; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her husband, Leo; her parents, Christian and Christina Schorr; one son, Manny; one brother, Aurther Schorr; and two brothers-in-law, Emil Bechal and Norm MacDonald. Mary was born on January 22nd, 1949 in Medicine Hat. She met and married Leo Rieder in 1964 and they settled in Medicine Hat. Mary worked for K-Mart for 25 years. She loved camping, spending time with her family, friends and her dog, Tucker. Mary also loved to cook and entertain. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1 Dunmore Road SE, on Sunday from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL on Monday, November 24th, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. with Gary W. Goran officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to a reception to be held in the Saamis Creekside Centre following the interment service.
