Paul Holyk of Medicine Hat, passed away on Wednesday, December 17th, 2014 at the age of 75 years. Paul leaves to cherish his memory his brother, Roman (Edna) Holyk of Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. Paul was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Ann Holyk; and one brother, Mike. Paul was born on April 2nd, 1939 in Elk Point, Alberta. He moved to Lloydminster and worked on the family farm as well as other jobs. Paul operated the service station in Irvine for 10 years before retiring to Medicine Hat. He enjoyed fishing, reading, listening to music, and keeping up on all the current events on his radio. The Graveside Service will be held at Hillside Cemetery, 10th Avenue and Gershaw Drive SW, on Monday, December 22nd, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. with Reverend Canon D. Gene Packwood officiating. Those wishing to attend, please meet inside the cemetery gates at 1:15 p.m. Memorial gifts in Paul\’s memory may be made to Medicine Hat Regional Hospital, 666 – 5th Street SW, Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1A 4H6.
