Lydia Fuchs of Medicine Hat, beloved wife of the late George Fuchs, passed away on Tuesday, December 30th, 2014 at the age of 94 years. Lydia leaves to cherish her memory her children, Ralph (Rosemarie) of St. Albert, Alberta, and Diane (Dave) Reniak of Eagle Bay, British Columbia; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Lydia was predeceased by her parents, Carl and Marie Jackel; three brothers and three sisters. Lydia was an avid baker and, in her younger years, enjoyed flower gardening. She also enjoyed her home and was a longtime resident of Leader, Saskatchewan. She lived in Medicine Hat for 20 years and was a dedicated church member. Lydia will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, #1 Dunmore Road SE, on Saturday from 9:00 to 9:55 a.m. The Funeral Service will be held at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL on Saturday, January 3rd, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Jim Hathaway officiating. Interment will take place at Leader Cemetery at 3:30 p.m. CST.
