  2. Vern and Vivienne Pancoast says:

    To Ann and your girls,

We were so sorry to hear of your loss. We are on vacation in Mexico so have just learned of Dave’s passing. Our earliest memories of Dave are when your whole family were working together on a project laying bricks and because we were in construction, Vern especially couldn’t help but notice Dave surrounded by all those good looking girls helping out on a work site! Taking note back then, we know his craftsmanship was exceptional. He took pride in what he did and in more recent years during his retirement, his hobby of bird house building still showed his skills and pride. We are really pleased to have several of Dave’s bird houses in our own yard, many of which he generously gave to us. We know he enjoyed his family, was gracious to his friends and will certainly be missed by you and all who knew him. Vern & Vivienne

  3. Maggie and Robin Simon says:

    Annie, Karen and family.
We were so very sorry to hear the news of Dave’s passing. He was charming in a way only Dave could be. I remember often visiting with your Dad after school while he built 2 of those amazing Dave Metz fireplaces in my parents home. My Mom and I later had the pleasure of seeing you both again (Annie & Dave) during a garden tour when Dave had taken up building bird houses. There was no doubt he loved his girls.

The loss of a father is so permanent and leaves the largest hole in your heart – sending love and hugs your way.
