ELSIE ABRAHAMSON GRAY

Posted: January 12th, 2015

1920 ~ 2015
Our dear mother died peacefully at the Sunnyside Care Centre on Thursday, January 8, 2015.  As per her wishes, a private family service will be held.  Elsie was born and raised on a farm near Preeceville,Saskatchewan.  She married Bob in 1942 and they had 47 years together.  While Bob was in the Army Dental Core, they lived in a number of places.  They settled in Medicine Hat in 1957, when Bob joined a private dental practice.  Elsie was predeceased by Bob and her nine siblings and is survived by her six daughters and their families.  She  will be greatly missed as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great- grandmother, aunt and friend.  Our family appreciates the kindness and generous support given by the staff at River Dental over many years. We also would like to acknowledge the care and compassion shown by  Dr. Jeraj and the Sunnyside staff.  Her faith and family were a central focus in her life.  Elsie was a lifelong member of First Assembly of God/ Christ the King Assembly and the Gideon\’s.  In her memory, a donation to the Gideon Bible Society is suggested.  (Condolences may be expressed by visiting www.cooksouthland.com)  Honoured to serve the family is COOK SOUTHLAND Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1A 4V4.  Telephone:  403-527-6455.
