With loving memory  our  family wishes to announce the passing of our wife, mother, grandmother,  great-grandmother,  sister, aunt, and dear friend,  Janet  “Marlene” Squire  on January 6th, 2015. Marlene is survived by  her  husband, Arthur “Jack” Squire; a daughter, Yvonne (Greg)  Severin,  and their  children, Nathan Severin  (fiancé,  Amber Van Der Kooy) and Amber  Severin (fiancé,  Evan MacLean);  a  son, Curtis (Tracey)  Squire,  and their children,  Madison and Julia Squire;  and two great-grandchildren, Austin and Kayden  Severin. She is also survived by four siblings:  Jerry (Marlene) Koch and their children; Betty (Francis) Bosch and their children; Joyce (Ron) Bolen and their children/step children; and Kalvin (Judith) Koch  and  their children; as well as many lifelong  friends and extended family.   Marlene was predeceased by her parents, William and  Adelia  Koch; sister, Doris Koch; sister, Carol  Brigden; as well as her infant children, Janet Yvette, Marlene Lynette, and Shaun  Sheldon  Squire. Marlene participated in many activities throughout her life including various game and card nights. She was the Avon Lady, postmaster, and enjoyed hairdressing for friends. She worked at Tim  Horton’s, attended the Schuler Church of God, and volunteered at The Post for Canadian Mental Health for many years. Over the last year, both Marlene and Jack enjoyed the Senior 60+ Club. She will be dearly missed – her family and friends will always hold dear her gracious soul, warm heart, and mischievous smile. The Funeral Service will be held at SAAMIS  MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, #1 Dunmore Road SE, on Friday, January 16th, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. with  Reverend Don  Friesen  officiating. Interment  will take place at a later date. Memorial gifts in Marlene’s memory may be made to the Alberta Heart and Stroke Foundation, #124, 430 – 6th Avenue SE, Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1A 2S8.
