STOBBS

JOYCE STOBBS, beloved wife of Clayton Stobbs, of Lethbridge, passed away after a brief hospitalization on January 12, 2015 at the age of 79 years.
Besides her loving husband, Joyce is survived her son Tim (Kathy) of Okotoks, and daughter Jane (Daniel) of Medicine Hat, grandchildren Cameron (Starla), Kelsey (Shawn) and Leah (Mark) and great- grandchildren Liam, Tenley and Emery. She is also survived by her sister Marni and nieces Jennifer and Brooke.
She was predeceased by her parents Genivieve & W.C. Hetherington,  as well as many beloved aunts, uncles and cousins.
Joyce was community oriented. Early in her family years, she was involved in many groups her children belonged to as well as community service organizations as a board member. Later, she became involved in “Daughters of the Nile #115” Sakkara (Calgary) & #138 Aquarius (Lake Worth/Palm Beach Gardens, Fl). She was a Past Worthy Matron of Lethbridge Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed fundraising for worthy causes to help children and cancer research.
Mom will be sorely missed.
A Memorial Service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, AB on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 4:00 P.M.

    Mama, your 5th anniversary of leaving us is coming fast. There still is not a day I don’t think of you. I wish we had talked more your last Sunday when I was there, but My last memory of you, was you sleeping peacefully before I left. That is the memory I hold, you were so sick and so uncomfortable leading up to your death and I am glad your suffering is over, but we have a void in our lives that you once filled. It kept us on our toes and in line, you are loved, missed and remembered.

    I miss you everyday grandma ma , I miss tge smell of your baking and cakes. I miss our visits over coffee and us sharing jokes. Since you’ve left this world mine hasn’t felt the same. So many memories soany laughs and smiles. I miss those times. I wish you were here so I could just put my head on your shoulder and just hug you one last time. *little bunch* love you grandma ma
