(née Obritsch)
1941-2015
It is with deep sadness that Rita’s family announces her peaceful passing after a valiant struggle with brain cancer on Sunday, January 11, 2015. Rita is lovingly remembered by her husband, Robert (Bob) Glass, of 48 years; their 3 children and 5 grandchildren: Ryan and his daughter Cassia; Rulcie (Clarence) Norton and their son Justin; and Renessa (Mark) Lechler and their children Meagan, Jessica and Brandon. Rita is also survived by her mother Frances Obritsch of Fox Valley, brother Howard (Rosalee) Obritsch of Fox Valley, sister Linda (Dave) McWilliam of Calgary and sister Kathy Tyshkewich of Calgary. Rita was predeceased by her father Jack Obritsch. She was happiest when surrounded by family. Rita loved the outdoors and caring for animals. She was an amiable and compassionate person who cared for seniors. She was noted for her ability to nurture and was reserved and balanced in her judgement. Rita will be missed by those who knew her. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home (east on 8th St., first right past Briargate Rd).
