SOPHIE PHALEN

Sophie was born in Wisdom, Alberta and passed away peacefully at Qualicum Manor, where she resided over the past 10 years, living close to her daughter Marjorie.
Sophie was predeceased by her parents, three sisters, her husband Babe, and her son-in-law George Rathwell. She is survived by her three daughters: Marjorie Rathwell in Parksville, BC; Patricia (Jim) O’Connor in Kamloops, BC; Donna (Bob) Lien in Lethbridge, Alberta; five grandchildren, and 10 great- grandchildren.
Sophie trained as a nurse at the Galt School of Nursing in Lethbridge, Alberta and enjoyed many years working in her profession. She was also a long time member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Sophie and her husband, Babe, spent many winters in their paradise: Hawaii.
She will be sadly missed by her family.
A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date in Medicine Hat, Alberta.
