1926 ~ BRANDT ~ 2015

Ellen Emma Brandt of Medicine Hat, beloved wife of the late Bob Brandt, passed away on Wednesday, February 18th, 2015 at the age of 89 years. Ellen leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Lou (Wally) Baumback of Calgary; seven grandchildren, Rob (Joy) Brandt, Robyn (Jennifer) Brandt, Kelly (Anne) Finerty, Debbie Baumback, Mark Baumback, Paula (Keegan) Leipnitz, and Michael Brandt; four great- grandchildren; one brother, Albert Dorge; one sister, Alberta Renner; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Ellen was predeceased by her husband, Bob; two sons, Ronald and Reginald; and her parents, Oscar and Nina Dorge. Ellen was born in Irvine on January 10th, 1926 and married Robert Brandt on December 30th, 1944 in Medicine Hat. They enjoyed their retirement and spent their happiest years vacationing in the southern U.S. and making new friends. Ellen was an amazing baker. She kept a clean house and always put her best self forward. Ellen will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by her family and friends. A Graveside Service will be held at SAAMIS PRAIRIE VIEW CEMETERY, 5160 Gershaw Drive SW, on Tuesday, February 24th, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. with Gary W. Goran officiating.
