She was also an avid volunteer, volunteering for several years with the Canadian Cancer Association and community while living in Calgary. After her husband’s death, she stayed in Medicine Hat, enjoying golfing, playing bridge and volunteering with the Optimist Club of Medicine Hat. Two years ago her health deteriorated to the point that her daughter was able to bring her back to Calgary residing at Cedars Villa. She was predeceased by her husband, Jim McComb; her parents, William (Bud) and Hazel Aird; older sister, Verna Koe and twin brother, Russell Aird. She is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Bushell and son-in-law Andrew Bushell; cousin, Morris Lehody (Doris); nieces, Linda Aird (Scott), Linda Cox (the late William), Donna Rankin (Don); nephews the Reverend David Koe (Laura) and John Aird (Jeanette).
