Ruth Sawatzky of Medicine Hat passed away on Tuesday, March 17th, 2015 at the age of 87 years. Ruth leaves to cherish her memory one son, Milton (Dorothy) of Boise, Idaho; three daughters, Irma Rizo of Medicine Hat, Lorna Sawatzky of Vancouver, Washington, Verna (Rob) Cochrane of Medicine Hat; six grandchildren, Dawn (Russ) Freestone, Frank (Auni) Peaslee, John (Ilinda) Peaslee, Sasha Rizo (Elvedin Kindic), and Danielle and Levi Cochrane; seven great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Ruth was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Gertrude Hepburn; one son, Irvin Sawatzky; one daughter, Leona Sawatzky; three brothers, and five sisters. The Funeral Service will be held at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1 Dunmore Road SE, on Friday, March 20th, 2015 at 11:00 am with Reverend Mark Bolender officiating.
