With his loving wife, Rita Glass by his side, Ron Belanger passed away peacefully at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Thursday, March 19, 2015, at the age of 73 years. He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Nicole Reavis and grandchildren, Harrison and Campbell; step-son, Richard (Katie) Glass and grandson, Brett; step-daughter, Charlene Glass and grandchildren, Jordan, Amanda and Jayda; step-son-in-law, Eric Russell. He is also survived by his wonderful sisters, Jackie Lazure, Dianne Dalle, Ginette Comte, Bernadette Hennekam; many nieces and nephews; special cousins, Lorraine and Larry Lozo as well as in-laws, Malcolm and Vicki Glass and many great friends. He will also be missed by his beloved pet, Kaylee. Ron was predeceased by his parents, Leopold and Lucille Belanger; sisters, Nicole Fizzell, Gertrude Dreger and Pauline Moreau. A Celebration of Ron’s life will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Tuesday, March 24, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. with Life Celebrant Gerry Getz officiating. A time of fellowship will follow thereafter in the Cook Southland Reception Facility. Family wish to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the doctors and nurses on the 5th and 6th floors at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital for the care that Ron received during his stay.
