1918 ~ SLEMKO ~ 2015

Our beloved mother, Annie Slemko of Medicine Hat passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at the age of 96. She will be deeply missed by her son, Glen (Linda) of Calgary; and her daughters, Donna (Jim) and Laurna (Peter) of Victoria, BC. Grandmother will be lovingly remembered by Kara and Ryan of Calgary, Krista (Joey) of Irvine, CA, Tyler (Jessica) of Dalian, China, and Courtney of Vancouver, BC; and great grandchildren, Maja, Grace, Anne and Matthew. Annie is also survived by her brother, George. Annie was predeceased by her mother, Irene; her father, Nicholas; brothers, Bill, John, and Michael; and her sister, Marie. Annie enjoyed first and foremost her family as well as tending to her beautiful garden. She loved music and dancing and often played her mandolin for family gatherings. Often Annie could be counted on to show compassion and kindness whenever she found people and animals in need. Her smile, generosity and loving spirit will be cherished by everyone who met her. Special thanks to the kind doctors, nurses and staff at the Sunnyside Care Centre for their compassionate care during her stay at their facility.
