Henry Elle, beloved husband of Edna Elle of Medicine Hat, passed away on Tuesday, April 28th, 2015 at the age of 94 years. Henry also leaves to cherish his memory his children, Clarence (Delaine) Elle of Edmonton, Brenda (Gary) Whipple of Medicine Hat; four grandchildren, Stuart (Aerin Caley) Elle, Deloyce (Kelly) Weist, Kayla (Travis) Eresman, and Kevin (Erin) Whipple; two great grandchildren, Forrest Whipple and Avi Weist; one sister, Lea Friesz; one brother-in-law, Hilbert Hoffman; one sister-in-law, Eva Hoffman; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Henry was predeceased by his parents, Henry and Lydia; one daughter, Caroline at 3 months of age; two brothers, Albert (Mary) and Ernest (Mabel); and three brothers-in-law, Adam (Clara) Zollner, Raymond Hoffman, and Art Friesz. Henry was born in Richmound and raised on the family farm. He attended Kellerville School (a local farm school). Henry married Edna Hoffman on November 13th, 1944 in Medicine Hat at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. In 1972, Henry retired from farming and worked for the Department of Agriculture part time in Swift Current. He was then employed with the R.M. of Enterprise of Richmound from 1975 – 1978 before moving to Medicine Hat. Henry liked fishing, gardening and especially spoiling his grandchildren. Henry was an active member of Victory Lutheran Church for many years. Henry will be sadly missed by his many family and friends. The Funeral Service will be held at VICTORY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 2793 Southview Drive SE, on Saturday, May 2nd, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. with Diaconal Minister Lila de Waal officiating.
