Mr. Herbert “Herb” Kindopp of Medicine Hat, beloved husband of late Mrs. Vali Kindopp, passed away on Wednesday, July 1st, 2015 at the age of 86 years. Herb also leaves to cherish his memory his three children, Debbie (Lloyd) Hanna of Medicine Hat and family, Delanie Hanna (Dustin Boire) and Dara Hanna (fiancĂ©, Brett Bartman); Lori (Rick) Bastura of Medicine Hat and family, Clayton Bastura (Krista Wilde) and their children, Brylen and Macksen, Kailey (Lee) Sprunger and their children, Beckam and Fischer and Kelsie (Derek) Collier and their daughter, Marlee; and Vince (Bonnie) Kindopp of Lloydminster and family, Tanner, Cassia, Kaden and Bryce; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Herb was predeceased by his parents; eight brothers; and two sisters. Herb was born on November 12th, 1928 on the family farm near Mossbank, Saskatchewan but spent most of his growing up years on the farm near Mazenod, Saskatchewan. He often joked that he, along with his brothers, had enough to form their own baseball team. He married his loving wife, Vali, on June 15th, 1956 in Regina. They moved to Shaunavon where they raised their family and remained there until retirement to Medicine Hat in 1990. Herb was a hardworking entrepreneur who will be greatly missed by his family and friends. A Come and Go will be held at the SAAMIS CREEKSIDE CENTRE, 11 Dunmore Road SE, on Monday, July 6th, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Memorial gifts in Herb’s memory may be made to Palliative Care Unit, c/o Medicine Hat and District Health Foundation, 666 – 5th Street SW, Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1A 4H6. My sincere sympathy to Herb’s family . I am a Mazenod “girl”, and remember Herb at the Mazenod dances — always a gentleman . Great to visit with him at the Mazenod Get Together a couple of years ago .
