MARK AARON PERNER

After a brief illness, Mark passed away in the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital at the age of 47 years. Mark is survived by his brother, Michael Perner; step-parents, Dean and Darlene Gray; and Aunt Veronica Arndt. He was predeceased by his mom, Dorothy Gray (2013); and grandmother, Barbara (Roth) Stappler (2009). Mark was born and lived in Medicine Hat all his life and graduated from McCoy High School. He was a happy person often seen downtown enjoying time with his numerous friends. Mark desired to be friends with all he met and went to great lengths to be a good friend. He loved to entertain others by giving impressions of actors and musicians. He had an amazing memory and love for music, movies and his much liked WWE wrestling stars. Mark was a very literal person so enjoyed challenging our choice of words. He will be greatly missed by many. A private burial service will be held at a later date. Thank you to the staff at Next Step Residential Services for their many years of service and also the staff in ICU for their efforts in his last hours.
