ROSEMARIE BECHTOLD

1941 ~ 2015

Mrs. Rosemarie Bechtold, beloved wife of over 57 years to Mr. Roy Lionel Bechtold, passed away peacefully at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Wednesday, July 8, 2015, at the age of 73 years. Along with Roy, Rosemarie leaves to cherish her memory three children, Pamela Ager, Laurie (Clayton) Bowcott and Bradley (Yvonne) Bechtold; her loving mother, Anne Ledene; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother Gerry (Betty) Kipta; two sisters, Melodie (Don) Berehula and Marilyn Wenzel as well as numerous nieces and nephews… that kept family together. She was predeceased by her father, Peter Kipta. Rosemarie was born in Rolling Hills on August 30, 1941, to proud parents, Peter and Anne Kipta. This is also where she was raised and received her education. On June 28, 1958, Rosemarie married Roy Bechtold. Rosemarie took on every task with an incredible drive and ambition. She enjoyed her work as a bookkeeper, but family was always her priority! She enjoyed organizing family events, was a superb cook and proved time and again that she was the bonding glue that kept her family together. The family wishes to recognize the special care and support that Rosemarie’s granddaughter, Amber Poelzer and partner Derrek Dineen provided in her final months. A Celebration of Rosemarie’s life will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Thursday, July 16, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. with Life Celebrant Gerry Getz officiating. Private interment will follow with a time of fellowship and refreshments thereafter in the Cook Southland Reception Facility.
