It is with heavy hearts that the Care staff and the resident family announce the passing of their beloved friend, Judith Gloria Rennie of Medicine Hat, on Thursday, July 16, 2015, at the age of 62 years. Judy was born in Edmonton, AB., on July 4, 1953, and moved to Medicine Hat in 1993 following her time at the Michener Centre in Red Deer, AB. She had a joyful spirit and loved being silly. Judy always kept busy with life and activities and forever wanted her “shoe shoes” on so she could keep moving. She loved outings especially trips on the bus and car rides. Some of her special activities were singing with friends and food. Judy attended the CORE Association throughout the week and participated in many community events such as volunteering and swimming. She will be remembered as having an amazing enthusiasm for life and keeping all around her young at heart. Judy’s memory will be forever treasured in the hearts of her friends at CORE Association and her “family” at Next Step as well as all those who contributed to Judy having a wonderful and meaningful life. If friends so desire, memorial tributes in Judy’s name may be made directly to the Canadian Cancer Society, 102 Crestwood Square One, 1865 Dunmore Road S.E., Medicine Hat, Alberta T1A 1Z8. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W. Medicine Hat, one hour prior to the Funeral Service being held on Friday, July 24, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. with Reverend Father Philip Le as Celebrant. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.
