Mrs. Elsie Miller, beloved wife of the late Albert Miller, passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital at the age of 94 years. Elsie was born on September 18, 1920 in Romania and moved to Canada in 1949 where she met and married Albert in 1950. Together they lived and worked the farm at Etzikom before moving into Medicine Hat in 1963. Elsie made Chinook Village her home in 2013 and resided there until the time of her passing. She loved knitting, crocheting, gardening and fishing in her leisure time. Elsie will be forever remembered by her sisters, Martha (Gerry) Klopp, Frieda Janiszuiski and Lucy Wallawein; brother, Reinholt Horst as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Albert and daughter, Marilyn. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Lance Duncalfe officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery. If friends so desire, memorial donations in Elsie’s name may be made directly to the Arthritis Society, #200, 1301 – 8 Street S.W., Calgary, Alberta T2R 1B7.
