Ada Urton, born June 22, 1921, passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2015. She will be forever remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister and unsurpassed in her capacity for caring. Ada was born in Leader, SK., raised in Paddockwood, SK. and eventually settled at Duck Lake, SK. She was a proud Saskatchewan resident who loved to share stories of her life with those in the community. She had kind words and found humour in all that she observed. Her kindness and encouragement inspired others not only to pursue their dreams, but to give more of themselves. She loved being around children and each opportunity to take a trip to the farm. Ada placed family above everything else. Whenever family came to visit, nothing was more important to her then spending time with them. It was through her example that her family learned to love, cherish and appreciate who and what they have around them! Beautiful, compassionate and devoted… we will miss you dearly. Ada leaves to cherish her memory five children and their families: Dr. William (Sharon) Urton and their children, Geoffrey and Sarah; Dr. Monty (Moira) Urton and their children, Craig, Tim and Erin; Lynda (Bruce) Halliday and their daughter, Katharine; Betty Lou Suidan and her children, Burke and Jessica; Herbert (Brenda) Urton and their children, Andrew, William and Jonathon and Bernie’s son, Steven. Ada’s memory will also live on in the hearts of her sisters, Elsie MacLeod, Minnie Avery and Jennie Gjesdal. She was predeceased by her husband, Jack; son, Bernie; son-in-law, Dr. Ramzi Suidan; sisters, Martha and Betty as well as brothers, Axel and Bernard. A Celebration of Ada’s life will be held in the Wuerfel Auditorium at South Country Village, 1720 Bell Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Bob Findley officiating. Private family interment will take place in the Duck Lake Cemetery at a later date. (Condolences may be expressed by visiting our website at www.cooksouthland.com) Honoured to serve the family is
