Posted: September 3rd, 2015Dolores Drescher, beloved wife of Peter Drescher of Medicine Hat, passed away on Monday, August 31st, 2015. Dolores also leaves her three sons, Darrell (Debbie), Kevin (Kelly) and Randy (Jocelyn); six grandchildren; one great-grandson; two sisters, one brother; a brother-in-law and four sisters-in-law; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Dolores was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Mary Bedford, and three brothers. Dolores was raised in Estuary where she met and married Peter and they began their family. Dolores and Peter lived in Estuary from 1954 until November 1965 when they moved to Medicine Hat with their family. Dolores had a huge garden and loved canning, baking, sewing, knitting and crocheting. She also loved camping, square dancing, and round dancing. She had a lifetime of travel, to Egypt and Greece, Panama Canal cruise, and numerous bus tours throughout Canada and United States. Dolores’ family was her pride and joy, especially her grandchildren and she will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by them all. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, #1 Dunmore Road SE, on Thursday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at FIFTH AVENUE MEMORIAL UNITED CHURCH, 476 – 4th Street SE, on Friday, September 4th, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. with Reverend Helen Reid officiating. A Private Interment will follow at Saamis Prairie View Cemetery.
