“If love could have saved you, you would have lived forever.”
This past Monday, another Angel was called home to heaven at the tender age of 22 days. Due on October 14, 2015, this strong and squirmy youngster couldn’t wait to kick his long legs and use his long arms to reach for everything around him. He was born at the Medicine Hat Hospital on August 30, 2015, 6 1/2 weeks early and weighing 4 lbs & 4 oz. The first 17 days following his birth were spent in hospital. On September 16, 2015, Braxtyn was finally able to join his Mom, Dad and Big Brother at home. Although only for a short time, those 5 amazing days at home with his family has left his imprint on their hearts for a lifetime. Braxtyn’s memory will be forever cherished in the hearts of his parents, Chad and Natasha Hagel; big brother, Ayden Proteau; grandparents, Shirley and Elmer Hagel and Audrey Currie as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other extended family members. A Celebration of Braxtyn’s life will be held at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 1933 Dunmore Road S.E., Medicine Hat on Sunday, September 27, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Tyler Rosengren officiating. Private Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery. (Condolences may be expressed by visiting www.cooksouthland.com) If friends so desire, donations in memory of Braxtyn may be made to the Medicine Hat & District Health Foundation (Specify the donation is in Braxtyn’s memory to the NICU), 666 – 5 Street S.W., Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1A 4H6.
