Leona Luella Ebel, beloved wife of David “Dave” Ebel of Medicine Hat, passed away on Monday, September 28th, 2015 at the age of 87 years. Leona leaves to cherish her memory her three sons, Neil (Nance), Gordon (Michele) and Rick (Joanne); one daughter, Dawn (Mike) Pearce; five grandchildren, Christopher, Dana (Ili), Jonathan, Nicholas and Luella; one brother, Otto Fandrich; one brother-in-law, Elmer (Anne) Ebel; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Leona was predeceased by her parents, Gustav and Magdelena Fandrich; and four brothers, Edward Fandrich, Victor Fandrich, Raymond Fandrich and Irvine Schneider. Leona was born on August 8th, 1928 in Hilda, Alberta and married David on June 7th, 1950. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1 Dunmore Road SE, on Thursday from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL on Friday, October 2nd, 2015 at 3:30 p.m. with Pastor Bob Church officiating. A private interment will take place at Hillside Cemetery. Memorial gifts in Leona’s memory may be made to charity of one’s choice.
