Darwin Serr of Destin, Florida; beloved partner and special love of Merle Bowen; passed away suddenly on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at the age of 71 years. Darwin leaves to cherish his memory his children Kelly, Danette, Kurtis and Derrick; four grandchildren and his sister Shirley (Ron). He is also survived by his aunt Norma and uncle Don Heeg and nieces Lorie and Elan. Darwin was predeceased by his mother Ola and father Otto.

Darwin worked for the Denny’s Restaurant chain for many years as a District Manager for the Northwest U.S. and Western Canada regions before retiring to Florida five years ago. Darwin and Merle traveled extensively through the U.S. and Canada site seeing and visiting friends and relatives. Each summer they would come to Medicine Hat to visit with Danette, Shirley and Ron and his lifelong friends Mark Felesky and Richard and Bob Marshall. Then to Calgary to be with Kelly, Kurtis and Derrick. Darwin will be lovingly remembered by everyone who knew him. He was a special person and donated his organs to those in need. We will all miss him.
