It is with great sadness that the family of Marjorie Reilly announce her passing after a brief illness at the age of 91 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Jim (Johanne) of Victoria, BC, and Dan (Christine) of Langley, BC; grandchildren, Karen, Timothy (Tracey), Gregory, and Jeremy (Rachel); great-grandson, Jackson; nieces and nephews, Carol (Wes), Brian (Dianne), Sharon (Rob), Craig (Susan); and numerous great nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her husband, Tom; sister, Wilma; father, Claude; mother, Carol; and brother-in-law, Boris. Marjorie was a charter member of the Beta Sigma Phi chapter in Medicine Hat with 49 years of perfect attendance. She loved gardening (flowers). She was active in the Sunday School at Fifth Avenue Church. She enjoyed camping and spent many summers with her family travelling about the country. Marjorie was also fond of decorating her house for every holiday, particularly Christmas and there was never a window, wall, doorknob, bathroom or any room that wasn’t decorated to the hilt. Hobbies included paper tole, knitting and making flower arrangements. She loved to play cards and was an avid bridge player, crib player and ran the Elks Club gin rummy club for over 20 years. In Victoria, Marjorie enjoyed the spectacular ocean view from the living room window. This allowed her to watch sail boats, Navy vessels and cruise ships as they came and went. She could also watch birds, deer, squirrels, hummingbirds and, of course, the neighbours from her vantage point. It was also a good place to help with the many many jigsaw puzzles she put together with her family. She will be sadly missed by all her family and friends. The Funeral Service will be held at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, #1 Dunmore Road SE, on Saturday, January 16th, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. with Gary W. Goran officiating. Interment will take place at Hillside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in Marjorie’s memory may be made to the Alberta Heart and Stroke Foundation, #124, 430 – 6th Avenue SE, Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1A 2S8.
