It is with broken hearts that the family of Gail Carole McNeely (nee Thacker) announce her passing at the age of 76. Gail is survived by the love of her life, her husband Blair. She was the cherished mother and mother-in-law to Brad and Kelly, Calvin and Linda, and Darwin and Lisa. Devoted grandma to Randee and Cory, Justin and Sam, Karsten, Karleigh and Fraser, Jordan, Adrienne, Scott, and Maddi. Daughter of the late Herb and Madeline Thacker. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Blaine and Sue, Herb and Marilyn, Joanne and Dave, and the late Lloyd and June. Beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews, a cousin to many and a friend to all. Gail lived her entire life in the Burdett and Bow Island area, and was dedicated to her family, church and community. Special thanks to Dr. Woodruff and Dr. Parks and the staff at the Bow Island and Medicine Hat hospitals. A Celebration of Gail’s life will be held at St. Andrew’s United Church, 139 – 2 Avenue West, Bow Island on Wednesday, February 17, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Chelsea Masterman officiating. A time of fellowship will be held immediately thereafter at the Golden Age Club, 206 – 5 Avenue East, Bow Island with Private Interment in the Bow Island Cemetery set to take place at a later date.
