RODRIGUES, Roma Genoveva

Roma Rodrigues passed away peacefully at the Holy Cross Manor on Friday, February 12, 2016. As a talented artist and compassionate teacher, Roma touched many lives with her grace and humility. Described by those who loved her as intelligent, wise, kind, generous and selfless; she nurtured her family while she travelled the world. Roma is lovingly remembered by Ivo, her husband of 63 years; two children, Hyacinth (Michael) and Ivan (Heidi); as well as her devoted grandchildren, Matthew, Morgan, Genevieve and Luke. She is also survived by her brother, John Fernandes; sister, Martha (Joe) de Lima; sister-in-law, Esther Fernandes; and many nieces and nephews. The family offers sincere thanks to the caring staff of the Holy Cross Manor; the Sheldon M Chumir Wound Clinic; Northwest Home Care Team; as well as the Tom Baker Cancer Centre. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Pius X Church, 2424-24th Ave. N.W., Calgary, on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with The Rev. Bill Corcoran officiating.
