Gustave (Gus) Beierbach, of Calgary, AB, passed away peacefully at the Peter Lougheed Centre on February 18, 2016 at the age of 89. He is survived by his wife Mary, sister Lila Hauck, and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Gus was predeceased by his parents, Henry and Lydia, nine sisters, Alvina, Bertha, Esther, Lena, Elsie, Annie, Dolly, Irene and Edna, and three brothers, Henry Jr., Herbert and Benny, and his first wife Margaret. The family wishes to sincerely thank the staff of Clifton Manor, where Gus resided since May 2011, for the exceptional care, kindness, and love given to Gus. The family also wishes to acknowledge the Peter Lougheed Centre emergency staff, particularly Dr. Yurema, Dr. Mankaeva, Nurse Sheri, Nurse Ainsley, and Social Worker Judy along with Unit 42, Margarita and Katherine. Your thoughtfulness, care and compassion towards Gus and his family in his final hours are greatly appreciated. Gus will be remembered forever, and will live in the hearts of all who were touched by his gentle and kind nature. A private Celebration of Gus’ Life will be held with immediate family.
