Tammy Leanne Barss, beloved wife of Tracey Barss of Swift Current, passed away on Friday, February 26th, 2016 at the age of 42 years. Tammy also leaves to cherish her memory her parents, Darryl and Gloria Kallis; her step-son, Teagan Barss (Shalene Beech); one brother, Cory (Monica) and nieces, Jordyn and Sydnee Kallis; her grandma, Irma Kallis; one brother-in-law, Adrian (Louise) Barss; three sisters-in-law, Laureen Schwartz, Darlene (Jerry) Dyck and Diane Barss; and cherished by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Tammy was predeceased by her grandparents, Ken and Joyce Jacobson and Rhinehart Kallis; mother and father-in-law, Gladys and Laurie Barss; and one brother-in-law, Fred Schwartz. Tammy was born on November 1st, 1973 in Weyburn, Saskatchewan. She lived in Lampman, Saskatchewan until she moved with her family to Medicine Hat in 1989. Tammy attended Crescent Heights High School and the Medicine Hat College enrolled in the Rehabilitation Practitioner program. She met the love of her life, Tracey Barss and they had 14 wonderful years together. Tammy overcame many illnesses in her life. She loved spending time with family and cherished them immensely. Tammy loved camping, travelling, riding Harley’s and attending Saskatchewan Roughriders games. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1 Dunmore Road SE, on Thursday from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Friday from 12 noon until 12:55 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1 Dunmore Road SE, on Friday, March 4th, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. with Gary W. Goran officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in Tammy’s memory may be made to Canadian Cancer Society, 102 – 1865 Dunmore Road SE, Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1A 1Z8.
