Elaine Rita Hay of Medicine Hat, beloved wife of the late Joseph Hay, passed away peacefully surrounded by her children and grandchildren at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Sunday, May 1st, 2016 at the age of 67 years. Elaine leaves to cherish her memory her children, Susan Hemmaway, Shannon Hay and Andy Hay; her grandchildren, Kerigan and Reegan; one sister-in-law, Adele (Doug) Vaughan; one nephew, Rob (Jody) Vaughan, one niece, Laureen (Rob) Kirk; her very best friend since the age of 2, Lynne Graff; and her dog, Rosco. Elaine was predeceased by her husband and high school sweetheart, Joseph in 1999; and her parents, Walter and Josephine Mackenzie. The Funeral Service will be held at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, #1 Dunmore Road SE, on Thursday, May 5th, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. with Gary W. Goran officiating. Interment will follow in the family plot at Hillside Cemetery.
