Judith Ann Brookes of Medicine Hat, beloved wife of the late Dr. David Brookes, passed away on Friday, May 6th, 2016 at the age of 79 years. Judith leaves to cherish her memory her one son, Simon Brookes of Medicine Hat; one daughter, Joanne Brookes (Shelby) of Costa Rica; and one brother, Duncan (Pat) Fletcher of Tideswell, England. Judith was predeceased by her husband, Dr. David Brookes; and her parents, Albert and Eva Fletcher. Judith was born, raised and educated in Tideswell, England. She immigrated to Canada in 1964 and lived in Mayerthorpe and Edson before settling in Medicine Hat in 1974. Judith enjoyed travelling including several trips to New Mexico and England. The Funeral Service will be held at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, #1 Dunmore Road SE, on Thursday, May 12th, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with Dr. David J. Carter officiating. A Private Interment will take place in the Family Plot at Saamis Prairie View Cemetery.
