When she was a child the family moved to Lethbridge where she continued to reside until moving to Medicine Hat in 2010. Bernice married Steve in Lethbridge on August 26, 1971 and their marriage was blessed with the birth of their daughter, Janice. During the years she lived in Lethbridge, she worked as a secretary at the Lethbridge Separate School Board and the University of Lethbridge. Bernice had many interests throughout her life some of which included sewing and cooking. She was an avid seamstress, crafter, and knitter and had an excellent style and taste. Bernice was an amazing cook and enjoyed hosting many family holidays and gatherings over the years.
