Bernice Adaline Halak of Medicine Hat, passed away on Saturday, June 4th, 2016 at the age of 77 years. Bernice leaves to cherish her memory one brother, Terry (Susan) Halak; one niece, Leslie Halak; one nephew, Michael Halak; and her close cousin, Vicki Kopp. Bernice was predeceased by her parents, Peter and Adaline Halak. Bernice was born in Medicine Hat on October 17th, 1938. She was a lifetime member of the Order of the Royal Purple and a member of the Red Hat Ladies. Bernice worked at the Medicine Hat General Hospital and enjoyed crafts and crochet. The Funeral Service will be held at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1 Dunmore Road SE, on Monday, June 13th, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Brian Munro officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery. Memorial gifts in Bernice’s memory may be made to SPCA, 55 Southwest Drive SW, Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1A 8E8.
