Lorne Kenneth Forsythe of Medicine Hat, beloved husband of Doris Forsythe, passed away on Thursday, June 9th, 2016 at the age of 80 years. Lorne also leaves to cherish his memory four children, Wayne (Grace) Forsythe and Bonnie Forsythe both of Medicine Hat, Rodney Forsythe (Karen Walchuk) of Redcliff, and Laurie Forsythe (Clay Hawks) of Edmonton; two grandchildren, Hope Forsythe and Clayton Forsythe; one great-grandson, Gavin Forsythe; one brother, Raymond Forsythe of Redcliff; one sister, Judy Veinotte of Hartland, New Brunswick; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Lorne was predeceased by his parents, Cecil and Vera Forsythe; one brother, Arthur Forsythe; and three sisters, Nellie Lawrence, Leona Forsythe, and Helen Esterbrook. Lorne was a longtime member of the Salvation Army and AA. He loved woodworking and carpentry. Lorne will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family and friends. The Funeral Service will be held at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, #1 Dunmore Road SE, on Tuesday, June 14th, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. with Captain Joyce MacDonald and Captain Ron MacDonald officiating. A Private Interment will take place at Saamis Prairie View Cemetery.     Condolences to Doris and family. I was a neighbor to Lorne for many years. I only read of his passing today. Lorne was a wonderful man who had integrity and always very helpful.
