Passed away peacefully in her sleep on September 30, 2016 at the age of 85. Born November 18 1930, Dorothy (Mom) lived most of her life in Medicine Hat, Alberta and spent last 12 years enjoying her time in Kelowna, B.C. With her quick witted sense of humour she could always make people laugh (even if some of us were too slow to get her jokes). She got great thrills in beating her kids at crib, and enjoyed letting them know it. Her favorite pass time was her Toronto Blue Jays, right up to her last day, she was cheering for a win. She was predeceased by her first son Michael. Forever missing Mom will be her children Dan, Wendy Brace (Bob), Patty (Rick Smith) and David (Nancy); grandchildren Chris, Marita, Christina and Nick, as well as 3 great grandchildren. Also surviving her are sisters Pat McCulley (Jim) and Carol Skidmore. Her spirit, humour and smile will be missed by everyone that has had the pleasure of meeting her. We will miss you Mom. A private family service will take place.

Dear Patti – I don’t get the news paper but I just found out about your mom today- I am so sorry to hear of her passing and I send my deepest regrets to you. I absolutely loved working with your mom – she was a fantastic lady and it was a joy speaking with her a few years ago when I phoned her in Kelowna. Please take care of yourself as I know the two of you were very close – you had a wonderful mother
