It is with great sadness that the family of David Paul Maurer announce his peaceful passing at the Good Samaritan South Ridge Village on Friday, October 21, 2016. Along with his wife of 42 years, Shirley Maurer (nee Boschee), David is survived by his son, Nathan and daughter, Roxanne and her children, Michael, Nikki, Jasmine, Alexander and Damien. He is also survived by a sister, Delores McLaren; brothers, Leonard (Gael), Harvey (Judy) and their families as well as many relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Keith and Ida Maurer (nee Seger); father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Jean Boschee (nee Woolley) and brother-in-law, Jim McLaren. David will be remembered by his family, friends and co-workers for his faith, warmth, kindness, good humour and for the strength and courage he displayed during his illness. A special thank you to the caring and compassionate staff at Good Sam’s and to all who brought joy to his life and comfort to him during his final days. A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 62 Valleyview Drive S.W., Medicine Hat on Saturday, November 12, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. with Mr. William Rae officiating.
