Posted: November 23rd, 20161932-2016
Glen Kinchen Rosa passed away peacefully at Medicine Hat Hospital on November 18, 2016.
Glen is pre-deceased by his beloved wife Irma, their daughter Carla, brothers Warren (Annie); Jack (Lorraine); Dale (Dorothy); and brother-in-law Gilbert Staven.
Glen is lovingly remembered by his sister Audrey Staven, son-in-law Leonard Smith (Joy), grandchildren Samantha, Mason, Jacob, Benjamin, Skylar, and Noah. Glen will be missed and remembered by his many nieces, nephews and his lifelong friends.
Glen was born in Kincaid, Saskatchewan on August 25, 1932. When he was about 12 he quit organized school then graduated from the school of Hard Knocks and went on to be a very successful businessman. Glen felt honoured to be a life long member of the Masonic Lodge, plus memberships in the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge and the Elks Club.
Upon retirement Glen and Irma’s passions were traveling and genealogy which lead to meeting new found family members. Glen loved playing bridge and hosting LARGE parties especially in Arizona where he loved to spend his winters. Family and friends were very important to Glen and he made an effort to stay connected with everyone – young and old.
Memorial donations can be made to The Alberta Lung Association and acknowledgement cards can go to Lisa Staven-Nelson (they have the address).
