ALFRED BORROWS

1929 – 2016
It is with sadness and celebration that the family of Alfred William Borrows, beloved husband of Lee Borrows, announce his passing at Masterpiece River Ridge in Medicine Hat on Friday, December 9, 2016, at the age of 87 years, after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimers. Alf will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 65 years, Lee; children, Sharon (Lyle) Taylor, Don (Pat) Borrows, Lori (Rod) Braun, Mark (Rebecca) Borrows; fondly remembered by his eight grandchildren, Crystal, Jill, Nicolas, Jordan, Jenna, Mitchell, Joshua and Ksenya; and his sister, Darlene (Hans) Mueller. Alf was predeceased by his parents, one brother and one sister. He enjoyed a career as a Sheet Metal mechanic and following his retirement, Alf worked for the Medicine Hat School Board as a custodian. He was a kind, caring and considerate individual, which was always expressed by the love for his family and most importantly, his Saviour Jesus. Alf’s life will be celebrated with joy, at River Valley Community Church (formely, Christ The King Assembly), 1101 Queen Street S.E., Medicine Hat, Alberta on Friday, December 16, 2016, at 1:00 p.m., with Pastor Mark Borrows officiating. A private family interment has already taken place.
