1930 ~ GAFF ~ 2016

Matilda “Tillie” Jane Gaff of Medicine Hat, beloved husband of the late Nile Gaff, passed away on Friday, December 16th, 2016 at the age of 86 years. Tillie leaves to cherish her memory her children, Karen (Dennis) Francis, Cathy (Josh) Hofer, and Danny Gaff; seven grandchildren; twelve great- grandchildren; one sister, Lillian Bossio; three sisters-in-law, Esther Gaff, Esma McNally, and Lois Sweet; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Tillie was predeceased by her husband, Nile Gaff; her parents, Ellis and Annie Sweet; three brothers; and four sisters. Tillie played soft ball, horseshoes, and bowling and was in the Cranbrook girls bugle band. She belonged to the Eastern Star in Maple Creek and enjoyed playing cards, being a rancher’s wife, and mother. Tillie made the best butterhorns! She loved going to Las Vegas and especially loved the time she spent with her grandchildren. Tillie will be greatly missed by her family and friends. A Time of Remembrance will be held in April 2017.
