DONNA LORRAINE SCORY

November 9, 1937 – December 18, 2016

Our dear mother and grandmother, Donna Lorraine Scory (nee Niwa), passed away suddenly on Sunday, December 18, 2016, at the age of 79 years, beloved wife of the late, Ivan Michael Scory. Donna’s memory will be treasured in the hearts of her five children, Yvonne (Graham) Anderson, Donna Mae (Ron) Walker, JoAnn (Garry) Kolodychuk, Colleen (Gerry) Getz, Jerome (Linda) Scory; 19 grandchildren, Heather (Lukas) Koltusky, Susan, Wendy, Claire and Hannah Anderson; Jaden, Megan and Kelsey Walker; Haley and Jonathan Kolodychuk; Zachary, Keegan (Jamie), Ryker, Bryce, Quinten Getz; Alexander, Nicholas, Mathew and Melissa Scory; sister, Elaine (Ron) Skene; sisters-in-law, Pat Niwa, Wendy Niwa, Iris Meyer, Nona Petrick as well as many nieces, nephews and their families. Donna was predeceased by her husband, Ivan (2008); her parents, Victor and Gertrude Niwa; brothers, Bernard and Murray Niwa; sister, Pat Morisset; brothers-in-law, Bruce Morisset, Peter Meyer and Elwood Petrick; father and mother-in-law, Michael & Anne Scory. Vigil Prayers will be recited on Wednesday, December 21, 2016, at Sacred Heart Church, 5 Avenue East, Oyen, AB., at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church, Oyen, AB., Thursday, December 22, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend William Corcoran celebrant. Interment will follow at the Oyen Cemetery. If friends so desire, memorial donations in Donna’s name may be made directly to the Sacred Heart Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 629, Oyen, AB., T0J 2J0 or Oyen & District Senior Citizens’ Rec. Centre, Gen Del, Oyen AB. MacLean’s Funeral Home of Oyen in care of arrangements.

    Still in shock as she was so vibrant and full of life last time I was in Oyen! You are all in my thoughts and prayers…hugs, hugs and more hugs to each and every one of You. Your Mom was one of the most Family oriented kindhearted ladies I had the privilege to call my Friend since I was very young. , I can tell you I know her Family remained her source of Love and Pride throughout her years. Thinking of you Yvonne, Donna Mae , Jo Anne, Colleen, Jerry and all of Your Families, hold tight to the happy memories…
