SHIRLEY ARNOLD

1946 – 2017
Shirley Jean Arnold was born to the family of Henry and Lilia Arnold on November 16, 1946. The Lord took her away on January 6, 2017, after a battle with cancer. Shirley was predeceased by her father, Henry Arnold on November 27, 2010 and her mother, Lilia Arnold on August 26, 2013. Shirley is survived by her sister, Beverly (Gordon) Enslen of Minsing, Ontario; brothers, Walter (Debra) Arnold of Maple Creek, Saskatchewan and Randal (Colleen) Arnold of Swift Current, Saskatchewan as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. With all their heart, family wish to thank the staff at the Alfred Egan Home, Shirley’s home for the last 35 1/2 years, where Shirley had the greatest of care and love given to her. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to remember Shirley may do so through a donation to the Alfred Egan Home in Bow Island, Bag 3990, Bow Island, Alberta, T0K 0G0; the Canadian Cancer Society, 102 Crestwood Square One, 1865 Dunmore Road S.E., Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1A 1Z8; the Saskatchewan Brain Injury Association, P.O. Box 3843, Regina, Saskatchewan, S4P 3Y3 or to any place that offers assistance to people with disabilities. Shirley will be missed by us all and will forever remain in our hearts. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so starting one hour prior to the service. The service celebrating Shirley’s life will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Thursday, January 12, 2017, at 10 a.m. with Life Celebrant Gerry Getz officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery with a time of fellowship thereafter in the Cook Southland Reception Facility.
