Mrs. Irene May Downie, beloved wife of the late Mr. Duncan Downie passed away at St. Joseph’s Carmel Hospice on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at the age of 87 years. She leaves to cherish her memory, sisters-in-law, Roberta Burr and Bev Downie, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family will honour Irene’s life with a private graveside service with Life Celebrant Gerry Getz officiating. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made in Irene’s name to the Medicine Hat Health Foundation c/o Margery E. Yuill Cancer Centre, 666 – 5 Street SW Medicine Hat, Alberta T1A 4H6.
