1928 ~ FRED SYROISZKA ~ 2017

Fred was born on November 13, 1928 on the family farm and passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 8, 2017. He was the second of five children born to William and Rosa Syroiszka. He went to school in Gascoigne, Saskatchewan to grade 8 then eventually took over the family farm. In his lifetime he also worked on the seismic, painting and stippling. Hunting, fishing and camping were always his passion. He was always compassionate to all animals and willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. He is survived by his wife Ann, his loving wife of 50 years; his daughters, Coreen (James) Bozak of Medicine Hat, AB and Carrie (David) Beaudoin of Hanna, AB; and two granddaughters, Jaycee and Delane Beaudoin; his sisters, Mary Sedun and Olga Hominuk, both of Winnipeg, MB, Ann Zubot of Medicine Hat, AB and Sophia Long of Ottawa, ON; sisters-in-law, Veronica Dirk and Josephine Koch, both of Medicine Hat, AB. A Come and Go Celebration of Fred’s Life will be held at the SAAMIS CREEKSIDE CENTRE, 11 Dunmore Road SE, on Saturday, June 17, 2017 from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. Memorial gifts in Fred’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society, 201, 770 – 6th Street SW, Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1A 4J6 or to the SPCA, 55 Southwest Drive SW, Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1A 8E8.
