The Lord called home our much loved mother, grandma and great-grandmother, Adriaantje “Jane” Bakelaar, on Sunday, June 18, 2017, at the age of 90 years. She will be dearly missed by her loving husband of 68 years, Laine; children, William (Anne) and Edward; grandchildren, Lana (Mark) Bottomley, Joya and Daniel (Crystal); great- grandchildren, James, Breanna, Lauryn and Bentley; brother, Henk (Ann) Vandenberg as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Jane was born in Rotterdam, Holland and immigrated with her husband to Medicine Hat in 1957, where they raised their family. A Celebration of Jane’s life will be held at the Christian Reformed Church, 300 Primrose Drive S.E., Medicine Hat on Friday, June 23, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor George Koopmans officiating.
