It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Eileen, a wonderful wife, mom, grandma and “nana”, at the age of 83 years. She was born in Empress, Alberta where she married Peter and with whom she just celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary. They moved to Medicine Hat in 1956, where she raised three children who remain happily married and who gave her six amazing grandchildren. She was also blessed with one great grandchild who had a chance to get to know her “Nana”. In December 2014 she and Pete moved to Calgary to the Chartwell Colonel Belcher where they continued to live independently and receive lots of visits from family. She will be lovingly missed by her husband Pete; her children: Corinne (Ross), Don (Eileen), Kelly (Roxanne); her grandchildren Krista (Erick), Stacy, Jennifer (Chris), Matthew, Stephanie and Nicole; her great granddaughter Kate. Her family brought her great joy and we will never forget her contagious laugh and underlying strength.
