With heavy hearts the family of Mrs. Grace Prevost, beloved wife of Ken Prevost, announce her passing at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Saturday, July 1, 2017, at the age of 76 years. Grace was born in Eastend, Saskatchewan on March 11, 1941, a daughter to Edward and Marguerite Wills. On September 17, 1960, she married Ken Prevost and their marriage was blessed with three children, Brian, Rhonda and Tammy. Grace was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who made her house a home. She was caring and committed to her family, friends and faith in God. For many years, Grace served in her faith with the Anglican Church Women of Canada. Besides being a homemaker, she worked in retail and served her country in the Air Force Nursing Corp. She was an adventurous spirit who loved doing many different things including camping, travel, snowmobiling, golf, walking, water aerobics, baking and reading. Family meant everything to her and she always looked forward to the next family wedding or the arrival of the newest grandchild. Grace was fortunate to have celebrated some remarkable milestones – a 50th wedding anniversary as well as her 75th birthday. She was well loved and will be dearly missed by her husband, Ken; children, Brian (Helen) Prevost – Clinton and Shelby; Rhonda (Ken) Peterson – Leah, Scott and Tyler; and Tammy (Mark) Hughes – Kenna and Brett; a brother, Bob (Evelyn) Wills; two sisters, June Arendt and Mary Lou (Howie) Wright. She is also survived by extended family, Clifford (Phyllis) Prevost, Gladys Nespliak, Lorne (Bernie) Prevost, Bernice Mitchell and Diann Tonita. She was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Marguerite Wills; two brothers, Norman Wills and Frank Wills and a sister, Ruth Grundler. The Funeral Service will be held at St. Barnabas Anglican Church, 635 – 4th Street S.E., Medicine Hat on Friday, July 7, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Oz Lorentzen officiating. Interment will take place at the Riverside Cemetery, Eastend, Saskatchewan on Saturday, July 8, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. (Condolences may be expressed by visiting www.cooksouthland.com) Memorial donations in Grace’s name may be made directly to the Tom Baker Cancer Centre, 1311 – 29 Street N.W., Calgary, Alberta, T2N 4N2.
