LILA SHUPE

Lila Margaret Shupe, beloved wife of John “Jack” Shupe of Medicine Hat, passed away on Sunday, July 23rd, 2017. Lila also leaves to cherish her memory four children, Judy (Denis Gagnon) Shupe, Jill (Keith Gladu) Shupe, Jane Shupe, Jerry (Nicole) Shupe; four grandchildren, Morgan, Jessica (Dave), Chelsea, and Megan (Chad); three great-grandchildren, Kennedy, Emma, and Easton; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Lila was predeceased by her parents, George and Lillian Burge; and her brother, Jim Burge. Lila’s journey began in Elkhorn, Manitoba and continued with stops in Yellow Grass, Weyburn, Regina, Medicine Hat, Victoria, Lloydminster and Biggar with a second stop in Medicine Hat in 1989, making forever friends along the way. Lila will be remembered for her tremendous strength of character, kindness, fun-loving ways, generosity and devotion to her family and friends. We will especially remember our many “happy” hours talking and laughing around the kitchen table. Lila will be missed and will live forever in our hearts. The Funeral Service will be held at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, #1 Dunmore Road SE, on Friday, July 28th, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. Memorial gifts in Lila’s memory may be made to Carmel Hospice at St. Joseph’s Home or to the Alzheimer’s Society.
