1922 ~ IVA DIETRICH ~ 2017

Posted: August 25th, 2017

On Wednesday, August 23rd, 2017, Iva Dietrich passed away peacefully with her family around her, just a month after her 95th birthday. She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Dwaine (Pat); daughter, Cynthia (Brian); grandchildren, Alexis, J, Christian (Jennifer), Damon (Jenna) and Kyla (Seth); and great grandchildren, Kaiden, Jace, Aubrey and Carter. Iva spent many happy years running her beauty shop in Maple Creek and later in life camping and fishing with George. Iva loved her family and was the hub for all information. If anyone needed a phone number or a birth date they called mom. Iva was also the cook in the family and would rather read a cookbook than a paperback. 2 Condolences for “1922 ~ IVA DIETRICH ~ 2017”

  1. Cathy Smith says:

    Dear Dwaine and Cynthia,
I am so sorry to hear of your mother’s death. She died in the same room as my mom. She was a special lady and even though I just met her, she made me cry. Her faith was so incredibly strong. She loved Jesus with her whole heart and soul. The last words she said to me on Sunday when I brought her Holy Communion were : “I love my Eucharist”
and she asked for a priest.
I am sorry I will not be at the funeral. My daughter had planned a vacation for us and I leave on Sunday morning. Be blessed and know that God holds you in the palm of His hand.

  2. Leisa Matheson says:

I’m so sad to learn of Iva’s passing. I have such sweet memories of our visits through the years. Iva is such a dear and special lady and my heart breaks for her absence now in your lives.
Knowing Iva is now at peace with her dear George, I hope in time you are able to find peace with her passing.
    Deepest sympathy.
