It is with great sadness that the family of Rosa Racz (nee Csernik), announce the passing of their beloved mother. Rosa passed away in Taber on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 one week after celebrating her 92nd birthday with family. She was a loving mother and grandmother, whose life had no shortage of challenges, which she faced with faith, perseverance and humour. She lived a life that exemplified a strong Christian faith.

Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers at Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 – 48 Avenue, Taber on Sunday, September 17, 2017 at 7:00 P.M.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church, 5009 – 48 Avenue, Taber on Monday, September 18, 2017 at 10:30 A.M. Burial to follow at the Prairieview Cemetery, Grassy Lake at 1:30 P.M. Condolences may be forwarded by visiting our website at www.southlandfuneral.com.

Rosa is survived by her children and their spouses Barbara (Donald) Ormson of Airdrie, Steve (Trudy) Racz of Taber, Andrew (Dawn) Racz of Sherwood Park, Mike (Mary) Racz of Whitehorse, Leslie (Cheryl) Racz of Grassy Lake, Frank (Shelley) Racz of Lloydminster, Violet Racz (Michael Burgess) of Kelowna, British Columbia, John Racz of Coaldale, David (Vanessa) Racz of Calgary and Robert Racz of Red Deer. She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and two great great granddaughters. Rose’s surviving family in Hungary are her sister Terez Barabas of Budapest; brother Istvan (Maria) of Gara, Hungary and an extended family in Baja and Gara, Hungary.

Rose will be deeply missed by family and those whose lives were touched by her.
